Bimetal structure
Metallurgical bonding of steel back and aluminium alloy

MANUFACTURING
Bimetal strip casting technology: metallurgical bonding of steel back with aluminium-tin alloy — core raw material infrastructure for sliding bearing production.
Our strip casting line is one of the critical facilities where the main semi-finished product used in bimetal sliding bearing and bushing production is manufactured. Aluminium-tin or aluminium alloy layer is bonded to the steel back via continuous casting.
Bond strength, alloy thickness homogeneity and surface roughness directly affect bearing load capacity and lubrication performance. These parameters are continuously tested and recorded along the line.
Cast strips are fed from steel back material from the strip plant and transferred as machined semi-finished product to bushing and bearing finishing lines.
